‘Alone among the Taliban’ to vie in US, Russia, Egypt

TEHRAN, Apr. 17 (MNA) – Iranian documentary ‘Alone among the Taliban’, directed by Mohsen Eslamzadeh, will vie at three film festivals in the US, Egypt and Russia.

The movie, recently received the best documentary award at the 44th Athens International Film and Video Festival (AIFVF), is a joint production of Iran and Afghanistan.

Founded in 1974, the AIFVF has continuously maintained a vision and identity that celebrates avant-garde, independent, alternative, and world media, in all genres and formats.

The 65-minute documentary, Alone among the Taliban shows 15 days of the director’s stay among the Taliban in Afghanistan.
